I have always been interested ghosts and whether they are real or not. I believe there is something out there...what do you thin? Do you believe in ghosts?
I have 3 questions for you. 1.Why did you create this book? 2. How did you think of the afterlife? 3.How did you think of the characters, such as names, what they look like?
I created this book because it was a natural follow up to the previous story I wrote. I live writing about the unknown and the characters are inspired by people I know :)
I've always been interested in ghosts. Not sure about the afterlife...but it would be cool if it existed. My favourite character is Alex...who was yours?
As mentioned in the story, she ran out of the house because of the fire. Her and her sister were able to fit through the window...but her parents never escaped and died in the fire.
Maddy died during the storm. I don't know if I believe in life after death, but I believe there is something out there beyond the living world :) I like Alex the most. What about you?
Today I have 2 questions for you that I am interested in discovering your responses. Did any characters in your thrilling, mysterious story surprise or shock you? Why and how? Did you receive any character or plot ideas from events in your life? What events?
None of the characters surprised me...because I created the characters :) Your second question is great...yes, there were some people in my life who helped inspire the characters and when we had a big tornado hit Orangeville and Milton a few years back I was inspired to write a story about the events.

I wrote this story because I'm interested in ghosts and it was a continuation from my previous book. Yes, the plot was inspired by some real life events. My favourite part of the story...is the whole story!! ha ha. What is yours? I am from Burlington...but born in Australia.

I sorta believe in ghosts. Do you? What do you mean by connections to the book? If you mean, is it based on past experiences...then yes. I am making the sequel right now :)

I do believe in ghosts...to a degree. I'm not sure about life after death...but if ghosts are real...than there some sort of life after death. Yes, the woman was Kaylee's mom. I became a writer in 2010 when I finished my first short story. Yes, I do illustrate my stories as well.

I always wanted to write my own stories rather than read them. Not sure about a movie...it depends if my agent can find a film company interested. Not sure about your 3rd question....but good idea.

Was it hard to write a story about Ghosts?I think it is an interesting subject resurrection and all and travelling through thousands of world and 10000 lifetimes and all so i think it must have been hard to think of a subject.I personally think you did a great book and it was a real shocker it made me wanna to keep reading and not give up on the story.How did you think of the names and all of the outfits in the pictures and their size and weight.I have one more question.Why did Alex get bullied by Damian Dermite then 1 chapter later Damian Dermite scared them but isn't bullying at the school enough?Alex is already going through enough trouble with Kaylee Cooper and being scared of talking to Daisy(cause he LOVES her)(which you know because you wrote the book)Thanks for your time

Hi Chris Francis, I loved Remembering Kaylee Cooper . I loved the whole mystery part of it . I had no idea that Maddy was a ghost . Also that Amber was her sister and her best friend . But the only thing that I didnt like was how slow the beginning was. I found that I was finally getting into it until the middle . Maybe when you write the sequel you can pick it up a little . I'm half way finished the sequel...maybe I can get it out by next year. Kaylee thought Amber was her friend because she was so wrapped up in her own world that nothing else around her made sense. She had forgotten about her family...and just assumed Amber was her friend. Maddy died in the storm. The title is based on Alex wanting to remember Kaylee and keep her alive in his memory. Glad you liked it :)

Thanks for the message. Maddy died in the storm. I picked Kaylee Cooper, because it's the name of a girl I used to teach. The sequel should be coming out next year :)

The story is about how Alex remembers Kaylee Cooper and wants to keep her alive in his memory.

I loved the part when at the end when Alex finally found out that the ghost that was his friend turned out to be Maddy.Anyway I have a few questions for you about the book and I hope you can answer them
1) how did Maddy die?
2) why did you pick the name Kaylee Cooper
3) when is the new sequel coming out.... So exited to read it

I picked Kaylee Cooper, because it's the name of a girl I used to teach.
The sequel should be coming out next year :)
